Cilantro Mexican Grill - Nashville

Usually the food here is good. The chips and salsa are fresh tasting. The margaritas, especially the top shelf skinny, are delicious. They have a few beer selections on tap and the food is usually prepared quickly. There have been a couple of timesthe service was lackluster, but probably because they are always busy. The quality is consistent and that keeps Cilantro in ourregular rotation.

Such a disappointing experience. the carne asada tacos were awful. so much bread for such little meat. meat wasn?t seasoned AT ALL. they served it with pico de gallo and some type of spicy sauce. if they were GOOD carne tacos, they wouldn?t need to addpico and a sauce. the presentation was also awful. where are the onions and cilantro??literally just threw 3 tortillas and meaton a plate and called it a day. i also had to ask for limes.. limes usually just come standard with carne asada tacos. limesdidn?t help. i was just mind blown that this was what they served. only thing good about my meal was the salsa and my coke. iwon?t be back.

Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed a sign stating that service dogs are required to have an ID card or vest. It is important to note that the ADA does not have a registration or verification process for service dogs, so the validity of these ID cards may be questionable. During my lunch visit on a weekday, I was promptly seated and the food arrived quickly. Despite the waitress appearing rushed while taking my order, the food had a delicious flavor and the lunch special came with a generous portion of rice. The menu offered a variety of reasonably priced options, and I could see a pleasant outdoor patio area from my table.

I tried this restaurant based on a recommendation and it exceeded my expectations. The margarita selection is impressive, the food is delicious, and the wait staff is attentive and allows plenty of time to make your selection from the menu. However, there was a slight issue with ants on the table during outdoor dining.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I had been away from the area for two years, and I really missed it. The prices are reasonable and the food is always fresh. We recently went for a late dinner and the tequila bar was lively, which was a new experience but a lot of fun. I highly recommend it!
