City Winery Nashville Barrel Room Restaurant Wine Bar

The service was quite disappointing. We had to wait 15 minutes before the waitress acknowledged that we had been seated. After that, we waited another 30 minutes just for our drinks, which consisted of one bottle of champagne and four juices. While the food was passable, it certainly didn’t compensate for the poor service we experienced.

The night before Thanksgiving, our party of seven had the entire restaurant to ourselves! The menu offered a wide range of options that pleased even the pickiest family members. The service was outstanding—attentive, with great recommendations, and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was enjoyable and calm, with a semi-formal vibe that perfectly suited our evening plans.

I heard good things about City Winery and their brunch. Made a reservation and were promptly seated. Once we ordered, however, it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered. The frustrating part is that we were one of only two tables that they had (the rest were empty) and it still took that long. Food was ok; not super great for the price.

Went during happy hour, had wine and appetizers. The price was very reaonable since it was 1/2 off some appetizers. The food was great and our server Nick was pleasant, fast.

Our first City Winery experience was Saturday night in Nashville. We weren’t attending the concert that night, but it was certainly appealing! We had reservations and arrived a little early. In spite of it being very busy, the host graciously seated us at a high top in the bar area to wait and we stayed there through dinner, right in the middle of the action. My husband and I shared a Signature Red flight and ordered a carafe of one of the reserves not on the flight, and shared several dishes. Although the server was friendly and accommodating, we had to work harder than we should have for his attention. I am part of organizing a national trade conference in Nashville next year and I’ve recommended City Winery as an event space.
