Mirko Pasta Donelson - Nashville

I have never written a negative review and am doing so with the qualifiers below. This restaurant is fine for inexpensive family dining and my entree was good. Our waitress did her job very well and I tipped her well. That being said, I brought a large business group here as dinner confirmations were last minute and I could not get a clear count of attendees until after lunch the day of the dinner. Despite great reviews from business diners, the restaurant is not suitable for corporate-class dining. There is nothing wrong with the appearance of the restaurant for casual dining but 20+ business diners knew immediately that this was going to be different. I raised spirits by mentioning that reviewers really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, appetizers were just ok tasting and not hot. As mentioned, my entree was quite good but the rest of the group mentioned they were disappointed. My intent is merely to be helpful to future diners booking large corporate-class dinners; I advise you to book elsewhere.

We had a large party. We received exceptional service the food was incredible. Had one mishap. Server was cleaning table stacked too many dishes. Accidents happen. Overall great experience.

Food was Ok. We had a large group and it took awhile to serve everyone . We waited and waited ... when The final meal was set in the table, most of everyone else’s food was cold.

I can’t imagine how this restaurant got such positive reviews. I ordered the chicken piccata which was tough and bathed in too much sauce. My wife had salad and minestrone soup. We would not return to this restaurant in the future.

Do not underestimate the location of this restaurant. The pasta and sauces are homemade and authentic. You will LOVE the food.
