Rainforest Cafe Opry Mills - Nashville

The restaurant was empty, which should have been a clear indication that dinner wasn't going to go well. The steak was overcooked and dry, while the shrimp was served cold. On the positive side, the server was friendly and performed his duties well. However, I cannot recommend dining there.

Rainforest cafe’s food was gross and over priced for the quality. The kids food look disgusting. The fruit looked spoiled. The bread on my sandwich smelled weird. The server was great! She was kind and sweet to the kids. But there was a huge party that was seated after us and their food came before ours. Which caused us to wait over 30 minutes for our food. We ordered ice creams sandwiches for the kids a treat and they just grocery store ice cream sandwiches that we paid $6 for. The restaurant was loud and really overwhelming. I would never come again. I would never recommend!

Reserved a table for my wife’s and I birthday. Communicated this in the RSVP. We were seated and no one came to our table. 15 minutes later, I stopped a bus boy and asked him if he could find our waiter. It wasn’t until 30 minutes after being seated that our drinks arrived! Turns out, the server assigned to us was shopping in the mall! We had one serve come up and attempt to help us, and then literally walked away right before she told us her name because she saw someone else laid napkins on the table (signifying we were already being helped). But that wasn’t the case. It was just someone else that had stepped in just to get us drinks, buying time for our server to arrive. And then when our server arrived, he was terrible at communicating. Just laughing everything off awkwardly like he was high and stolen ping through taking our order. By far, the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant ever, thus the reason I’m leaving a review. Their leadership, organizational structure, and communication absolutely sucks. And the food is way too expensive for that lackluster of an experience! What a shame because the food and environment was good. We’ll never be back and would strongly advise you to look elsewhere unless people watching, neglect, and overpriced food is your thing…

Listed that we had a birthday on the reservation and they acknowledge that during our dining. The food was not as expected either. The appetizer was a little cold and also children’s shrimp dinner had a bad task, our daughter spit it out and my wife also tasted it to confirm. Not at all what we expected.

The restaurant has a wonderfully authentic atmosphere! I loved the ambiance and decor. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding!
