Írjon visszajelzéstWent here for the apple Jack festival at dinner time. They were out of pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. Th ey shouted out that they were out of the meat, but not the other sides. We stood in line for 30 minutes to find out they didn?t have what we wanted. First, they should have been prepared. Second, disclose on a sign what you?re out of. We ended up having pulled chicken which was mediocre. Will not be back.
The good: clean and inviting space. Beautiful surroundings outside. Friendly staff. The BBQ beans are a excellent. The bad: overpriced and out of almost everything by 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. $16 for a small portion of pulled pork, small side and a soda. The pulled pork was average at best.
I?ve eaten at Porter?s about 10 times now. There is a great mix of smoked meat to choose from. The brisket is always on point. The pulled pork is SOLID, and the burnt ends are amazing. I have come here with my kids, eaten solo, and also eaten with a group of friends. The outdoor atmosphere during the fall is worth the drive from Lincoln or Omaha just to be in beautiful scenery and eating great food. Parent tip: take your children to the tree adventure in the morning. Go to Porter?s for lunch, and watch them get a double portion of their daily protein. They?ll love it.
This was probably the worst bbq experience I've ever had. I ordered a burnt ends and added extra burt ends with the burnt ends baked beans. The baked beans weren't cooked all the way through and were crunchy, not only that but the over taste wasn't good. Their coleslaw which I had to order extra because the meal only comes with 1 side was runny and the cabbage looked to be chopped by hand but the chunks weren't even close to the same size and overly vinegary. The burn ends them self were pretty good. The bbq sauce wasn't great and I had to ask for it because they forgot to put any in my container. My buddy got a chopped brisket sandwich and the saving grace was the sausage the brisket was bland. Paying 20 dollars for a burnt ends meal and 15 something wasn't worth the food we got. The side were thrown away because they were inedible. This is a cute location and maybe we caught them on a bad day but I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this bbq joint.
Legit BBQ! They have done their research and nailed the taste and presentation with true Southern-style pulled pork, Texas-style brisket (that is REALLY Texas style) and the infamous Kansas City-style burnt ends. My favorite side is the baked beans hands down. I seriously can?t get enough of this place.
