Got my kids and their friends two thin crust pizzas tonight. Both pizza's stuck to the cardboard so bad, that we couldn't even eat them. So I had to call and go back. Yes they gave me two more with no charge... But now I gotta make everyone wait twice aslong to eat. And had to drive back across town to get new ones. And they told me they must of used to old left over crust fromHalloween. Then the new ones kind of stuck too. And it's expensive and not even that good.
I don’t often write reviews, but I felt I had to this time. I tried calling the store, but my calls just kept ringing. I want to start by acknowledging that I understand many businesses are facing staffing shortages, but should that affect the quality of the food? For years, Papa Murphy's has been our favorite pizza place. However, when my husband brought home our pizza yesterday, I noticed something was off even before I took the plastic off. It seemed like whoever made the crust was either in a hurry or didn’t know what they were doing. We ordered the original crust, but parts of it looked more like a thin crust. In fact, in some areas, there were no edges at all. The overall consistency of the pizza was strange; it didn’t slice well and stuck to the cardboard. I noticed someone else had a similar complaint right before mine. I’m not sure what’s happening, but I hope they can fix it.
The crust was awful—bitter, chewy, and it stuck to the pan. The toppings were minimal. The sauce was decent; I tried both red and white, with the red having a better flavor. However, I’d recommend just going for a Roma or Jacks instead. You'll save money and experience the same level of disappointment without the hassle.
Just avoid the overpriced crustless pizza. Everything else is wonderful!
