The food, staff, and atmosphere were amazing! It was my first time in New Bern, and I found this restaurant after googling seafood options. I called a few places and ultimately chose this one based on the pictures of the food and the politeness of C, who took my call and answered my questions. C was also our waitress and she was great! The mac and cheese was glorious, and they even added a few fried shrimp on top for me, which was amazing. The cooks were very nice, as was the owner's sister. My auntie and I loved it and we will definitely be returning. My only suggestion would be to go easy on the salt, as my aunt's collards were too salty. Nice place with good food. It's a new restaurant with the young owner working really hard to please. Some unique menu items like their seafood boils (plural). Plaza storefront location. You don't go for the atmosphere, but for the food and people. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

So Upset!! I’ve eaten here before and the food was great ,service was slow but I didn’t mind . I love supporting my black owned businesses and was so happy and excited to have found this spot . However last night I was finishing up a conference call told my husband to call in an order for us because I was excited for him to try it and we had to be in new Berne for something . I wrote down everything to order . He calls and puts it on speaker the lady who took the order was so rude and unprofessional I could barely concentrate on my call because I couldnt believe she was behaving like that. He orders an appetizer and she says “we’re out of that “ he tells her okay “hold on one second “ so he tries to get me to write something else down for us to figure out what else we were going to get. she then sighs followed by “ oh my goddddd ..” and starts sarcastically starts humming on the phone and heavy sighing again . He then asks her about the chicken wings “ she sighs annoyed “ and answers. He then looks at me for an okay and while he does that I hear yet another rude “hellooooo sighs and starts tapping the phone “. I honestly was so upset I couldn’t even go in there so we ended up just going elsewhere. You all need to do better . I understand if someone is slow to order but the behavior displayed was a disgrace to our community.
