Baan Oy - New Braunfels

The owners are extremely hardworking and very courteous. The food was delicious! I've only been there a few times, but the man who works there remembers me and makes sure to check with the kitchen after I place my order. The boba tea place a few shops down is also very accommodating.

I ordered the tofu pad thai and it was decent. The vegetarian menu section is nice, but I noticed that all the curries contain animal products due to shrimp paste.

I would give this place five stars if I could! I absolutely love it here. The first time I visited, I was delighted to find that they used mushroom sauce instead of oyster sauce in my dish. The atmosphere is beautiful, and I really enjoy the tofu summer rolls and fried rice—especially without ice and with some added tofu. Everything about this place is amazing!

The man was very friendly, while the woman was cuter. They brew their tea for three hours. I tried the pineapple red curry, which was rated 1.4 on the spice scale, and it was too spicy for me, so I had to add some peanut sauce from the crispy eggplant. The pho was large and had a strong lemongrass flavor.

We enjoyed the Crab Fried Rice with Shrimp and the Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, along with a side of Thai Egg Rolls. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu!
