Bonzai Steak And Sushi - New Braunfels

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The fried oyster appetizer and shrimp tempura were both delicious. The service was exceptional as well. We will definitely return!

Waited over 1.5 hours for our hibachi chef to start cooking. The waiter and hibachi chef were great and the food was awesome. However, when asked what was taking so long (we asked the manager), we were basically told to they were short staffed and it would be a while longer. It was frustrating because we had made reservations and other groups didn't have to wait as long as we did.

We stopped in for lunch on the way back to Austin. The restaurant was quiet, perfect after a long weekend. Oir serve Harris was fantastic! He was kind, prompt, and attentive. Often times when a restaurant is slow, the servers don't pay attention. This was not the case with Harris. Thank you for the great service and awesome food!

I brought my wife here for a special experience that we were both looking forward to. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The chef dropped his tools several times and seemed a bit distracted. As for the food, it was just average. The sushi was dry, and the meat didn't stand out at all. I really had hoped for better. The atmosphere was also underwhelming, with too much noise from utensils clattering and not enough of the show we anticipated. Overall, it was disappointing.

I have to say, the customer service was disappointing. The woman at the bar was quite rude and unapproachable. However, that’s not the main reason for my review. I paid $11.25 for an overcooked steak, which was disappointing. Beef tataki should be served with very thin slices of extremely rare beef, but that wasn’t the case here. Additionally, the eel I ordered was below average. While I’ll pay for my meal, I cannot say I’m satisfied with the experience. New Braunfels could really benefit from a quality sushi restaurant, but unfortunately, this isn’t it.
