The Immigrant Café - New Delhi

Overall Good place to enjoy with friends. The food wasn't that great which we had ordered (Maybe taste differences). Quite expensive also in terms of quality, food was bit oily. The service is really great which made up our day. One of the employees who was serving us was very kind and polite. They also charge 25% VAT on drinks and 10% service charge. You can ask to remove the service charge, if you don't want to pay.

Well recently I have visited The Immigrant Cafe which is located in the heart of Delhi I.e Connaught place. The place is cool, dark, cozy with nice decor and music. Being in the centre CP we assumed a high cost cafe but prices were moderate or reasonable. We have ordered a few things which are listed below : 1)Baked cheese and mac pasta cost us 475/ 2)Gourmet All Veg which cost us 525/ 3) Virgin mojito 295/ 4) Green Apple Slush 275/ 5) Tandoori Platter 695/ Over all for 4 to 5 people the bill was 2900 to 3500/ which was quite reasonable. Good food, good music and nice ambience but i don't know why it is so costly

Worst place. Don't believe in fake reviews. Read this. 1. I had booked New Year Eve unlimited food dinner, paid 4000 rupees for this booking. 2. First of all, they delayed serving starter for more than 1.5 hours. It was promised at 8 during the booking. 3. Waiter was treating me like a beggar. He gave us a Plastic Glass filled with Cranberry juice and vodka and said this is the only Cocktail you can get in this booking. He said this is CosmoPolitan . The photo of the cocktail is attached. Apart from the cocktail, 2-3 IMFL plain drink was offered. 4. Just after 11:30 hours, he said now you can't get free drink. Your booking is over. Now you will have to pay for what you drink. 5. I was feeling humiliated. He was treating me like a beggar. He said now drink will be given to only those people who are paying for this. 6. At the end, Biryani was offered as main course. He said this is Chicken Biryani but I hardly saw any chicken pieces . I decided to step out from the club. They ruined my new year celebration. I still feel cheated and humiliated.
