Altona Club - New Holstein

The food lacked some flavor; the mashed potatoes were rather bland. I wouldn't recommend this place for Thanksgiving.

We've been here many times before and were always very satisfied. Brought some friends and family from out of town for the seafood buffet and were somewhat disappointed. It would be nice if they had traditional Friday fish fry items...fried cod, lake perch and french fries. While they had many choices of fish, everyone in our party agreed that none of them were very good...not that they were bad...just not very good. They also had scallops which were tough and very small...also not particularly good. The variety of shrimp offerings on the other hand were all very good and the salad bar was exceptional as always. Other buffets we have had here have been excellent, but we are not likely to return for the seafood buffet.

Excellent Friday night buffet. They were hopping to keep up. The price was right and the dishes were cooked perfectly. Sometimes buffet food is underdone cuz they are cooking it too fast but this was all cooked correctly. The buffet line was clean, especially the salad bar, and the staff also kept up with topping off the menu items. Great place to buffet!

The food was excellent, and the staff was outstanding! The buffet was hot and fresh, and the salad bar was clean and well-maintained. The soup was also delicious! I would highly recommend this place.

We visited this restaurant for their brunch buffet on a Sunday. The place was bustling but not overcrowded, and we were seated right away. There were three tables filled with delightful options—two hot tables, along with a soup and salad bar. Although I didn’t try everything, the dishes I sampled were quite delicious. The BBQ ribs were a bit dry and tough at first, but after they brought out a fresh batch, they were juicy and tender, practically falling off the bone. The hash browns, eggs, and ham were tasty, and the fried chicken was outstanding. The salad bar had a great selection of fresh greens and toppings. The only dish I didn’t particularly enjoy was the chicken dumpling soup, which lacked flavor and could have benefited from more seasoning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We definitely plan to return to try their other buffet offerings.
