The family business was opened for 2 years and receives a broad base of regular guests. We ordered three different sandwiches each was very delicious). We also ordered three desserts my favourite was the bread pudding) The Chef Greg prepares everything from fresh ingredients. He is a trained pastry cook with most experiences in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, so believe me the desserts are fantastic. I must believe, based on what we ordered, everything on the menu is delicious. You are open 6 days a week and Sunday brunch once a month. You owe the experience of having great food in a wonderful environment.
The kitchen is wonderfully prepared here. I had a delightful chicken avocado salad I found to have a tasteful balance of fresh vegetables with well thought-out seasonaling revealing themselves carefully within the chicken, all tied together beautifully with bright occasions of avocado. Nothing would be better than enjoying some of their sweet deserts with a small cup of espresso to their modest but refined menu. I will look for the espresso to be available on my next visit. The architecture is a refreshing repose from the typical Rhine valley. There is an open and clean modernity that deals with a Hill Country Special of the presentation. You have a small covered outdoor space that has the potential to be something wonderful, with a feeling that it is a hidden gem when only a playful privacy screen was placed at the toilet entrances. To sacrifice a little space would be a smart investment. Also switching the hinges of the terrace door to the other side would be nice, so that during the next visit I do not scratch my elbow on the wall. In all, I would like to encourage you to stop by and enjoy the aromas they offer and a bit in their contemplative space.
Have been there several times for both lunch and dinner. Menu items are always delicious and dinner specials are spectacular. Reserve the specials if you want them! The desserts are amazing, have not found my favorite yet because they are all so good. And take home some yummy breakfast goodies for the morning after.
Some friends and I just happened upon Tin Lizzie’s while staying at a local farmhouse this weekend and what a pleasant surprise it was! From the “Crazy Cajun CBT” special to the Chicken Salad croissant, every single one of us swooned over our selection. Homemade jalapeño cheese bread, vinaigrettes, and fresh ingredients are what sets this place apart. We got to meet Lizzie herself as well as her pastry chef husband, and we were delighted by both the friendly service and amazing food. Dessert was definitely worth the extra calories!!! We sampled a selection of the creamiest Creme Brûlée, decadent chocolate brownies, delicious Carrot Cake, and luscious bread pudding made from their croissants and baguettes with the tastiest Creme Anglaise sauce. If you are anywhere in the area (or even if you’re not), you should definitely head on over to Tin Lizzie’s and give it a try. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Stopped here to pick up some sweet treats to go after a day of cycling in the area. Outstanding bread pudding!!!!! My turnovers were lovely as well!
