The spring rolls were crunchy and the lemongrass stir fry noodles were perfectly refreshing during the hot temps. Also, the iced Vietnamese coffee was one of the best I’ve had so far. Will visit again!!
As we go to different places to try new food, this new place in New West has its own swirl to Vietnamese food. Tried their papaya salad, grilled chicken pho, spring rolls, and lemongrass chicken on rice.. did not disappoint. Really good food. Nice interior.. small but cozy. Will be back to bring friends.
Was the food good? Yeah it was fine. But it wasn’t like most Vietnamese food. Same song, different beats. If you’re looking for a more familiar experience I recommend Saigon ivy down the street.
I went there with my friends for a birthday party. Honestly we were surprised at how the foods tasted. The meat dishes were super savory, everything was at a right spot. The fish sauce was the soul of the papaya salad. We also got the new one, crab spring rolls. They said I couldn’t find it anywhere in New West, and yes, of course. Even the flavor was on the next level. Oh and don’t ever miss the good deals, I think it’s number 38, I got the Hanoi Specialty and crab spring rolls for just few extra. This place deserves better attention. Try it out!!!!
As a Vietnamese, I'll not come back. Bún bò Huế broth doesn't have that lemongrass flavor that I expected, they only give rare beef instead of the cooked beef shank, there's no pork hog, just some sliced pork cake. Steamed rice rolls bánh cuốn (which was advertised as a signature dish) aren't as soft and smooth as they should be, they put too much tapioca in the rice batter so it's chewy. Vietnamese iced coffee isn't good either. The only item that tastes well is seafood spring roll (nem cua).
