Chapala Grill - New Windsor

We decided to try out Chapala grill on a random Wednesday night. There is ample parking even though the lot is shared with other businesses. Food was prepared very well and was flavorful. We had empanadas as an appetizer. One pork, one chicken, and one beef. I would definitely get the chicken or beef but skip the pork. The mexican tacos were very well prepared. Flavorful and plated nicely. They have a full bar but we didn’t take advantage of it. The staff was very nice and our waiter could have been more accommodating or pleasant. He knew all the right times to approach the table without being overbearing. From this experience I will definitely come again and try different menu options. The 5th or 6th time my brother and I have eaten there in the past 2 months. Everything we have had their has been excellent along with the staff. Had the ceviche chapala which was fantastic, they do cut up the octopus. Also the shrimp and crab ceviche is great. For my main course this time I had the chicken enchiladas in mole. They also have a fabulous rack of lamb which I had last time. Great food with good size positions at a reasonable cost.

Best food and drinks in the area. staff is also very helpful and food service is extremely quick.

Great service and good food. I will say I expected better food based on the reviews, it was good but not amazing. The guacamole was very good! Margaritas were small for $11 and didn’t seem to have a lot of tequila. But it was a good margarita!
