Amigo By Nai - New York

The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. The restaurant itself is stunning. I was honestly surprised that it wasn’t crowded. Perhaps the rain today affected the turnout.

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! We popped in for happy hour while exploring the city, and we found the atmosphere to be incredibly inviting. The staff was very welcoming, and the music created an amazing vibe throughout the place. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Amiga by Nai was great! Good for dates or group dinners. Highly recommend the corn appetizer, shrimp tacos, rib tacos, and lamb entree. The lamb literally falls off the bone and is sooo melt-in-your-mouth tender. They give you freshly made tortillas to make your own lamb tacos. It’s all delicious. The reason I knocked off one star is because I was pretty disappointed by the oysters (I didn’t personally like the ice on the oysters or the sauce that came with it); the cauliflower tacos (flavor wasn’t quite there, and the texture didn’t really work for a taco); and the octopus starter (I usually love octopus, but it was over cooked). Maybe it was an off night! All in all I had a great experience, just a few dishes that didn’t quite live up to what I was hoping for.

They closed without informing us, and we had a large group, making it difficult to find a new place. Not very considerate.

The Happy Hour menu is available until 7 PM. We decided to try everything on it, and each dish was fantastic!
