Ashoka Upper West Side - New York

Came in to see if we could find a local Upper West Side Indian spot (for when we don't want to go to Drunken Monkey on the Upper East Side). We ordered: -Lasuni gobi -Chicken samosa -paneer saag -Chicken Tikka masala -onion kulcha The food was pretty good.A few of the kulcha pieces were slightly undercooked but we saved those for reheating because there was plenty of leftovers. Thelasuni gobi and the chicken samosas were our favorite part of the order. The paneer saag could have used a little bit more salt.But all in all, I would order takeout from here or stop in for a local meal.

I used to order from here quite frequently and enjoy the food. However, I?ve had major issues with the delivery service (delays). The last time I ordered through the website, the food never came and I was not refunded. I called several times andwas told different things?that the system was down, that they were going to send the food, etc. Ultimately, the food neverarrived and I was told I would get refunded the $90 I spent. I?ve followed up a few times and still have not been refunded.After seeing the reviews about the cc tips, this sort of seems in line with the management. I would not recommend orderingdelivery.

Food was delicious and service was polite but a bit disjointed. Really enjoyed the live music. Especially when compared to the background pop.

Excellent. Lovely service. Great good. The staff really seemed at tentative and professional.

I 'm not a real fan of spicy food... so my son helped to order some dishes that were not too spicy . Food and service were both excellent.
