My new favorite restaurant Went on Saturday afternoon and then again last night (Sunday). There was live music last night and it was so nice. The ambiance in this place is just as great as the food. We had the raw avo wild greens sandwich, raw pizzetta, and raw avocado and coconut soup (comes with raw coconut bread). I’ve been dying to have a raw vegan pizza and the pizzetta was pretty good although very messy. The sandwich was my favorite savory dish and the soup, also really good, was more of a sweet dish. It’s served cold. It’d be perfect for a hot summer day as it’s very refreshing. The servers on both days were super nice, attentive, and asked if we had any questions which I always appreciate.
This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! The waiters are so incredibly kind and attentive. The live music was awesome. The food was creative and delicious. I can’t wait to come back for brunch!
Absolutely wonderful experience! Ate outside in the colorful, well lit mini tent because the inside (a homey wooden bar like interior) was full. Sat at tables with reflective heat tablecloths and heat lamps maybe not for everyone, but I thought it was fun. Ordered the nachos, carrot quinoa soup, caravan burrito, and wild rice croquettes wow! Very tasty, but not too over the top or overly fancy or frilly. Just plain good. The we ordered some chai lattes with a raw chocolate dessert perfect way to end it. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, great vegan restaurant with an historic reputation that everyone should eat at when in NYC !
It is a great vegan place that has almost everything you could think about in a menu, so it is perfect for a bigger group. They have also a lot of raw options which I find wonderful. However I should have settled on a classic entree instead of the brunch options. I had the polenta, the portion was pretty small and was mostly a bunch of veggies thrown together in the plate. The entrees smelled fabulous compared to that (fresh pasta and noodles.. . The coffee was really bad (espresso pods? , I was expecting some good filter coffee for a brunch. The dessert however was delicious, I had the raw pumpkin pie (seasonal which was not too sweet, perfectly balanced. Their ice cream is SO good you have to get at least one scoop. I love that there is no refined sugar and they use only natural sweeteners, that is why I gave it four stars (and not just settled on the disappointing brunch .
