Casa Del Toro - New York

Amazing experience. will be back and can not wait for the tours at the weekend!

Dearth casa del toro! the drinks were delicious and packed a stamp. And eating was also horrific! would recommend to my anyone looking for a great pre-show outing.

We really enjoyed eating on their interior outdoor patio. A wonderful respite from the city hussle and bustle. Definitely need to try the Tales of the Toro drink. Presentation won’t be soon forgotten!

My friend and I went for an early dinner last night before a show. When I arrived the volume level of the music was deafening. It was so loud that we could hardly hear each other just sitting inches across from one another. We were also sitting right in the doorway to the garden and getting a breeze when it was pretty chilly out. I asked our waiter if we could move to the four top across the room and he said no because the place would get busier after 7. He didn't check to see if there were any actual reservations. And then a few minutes later two women were sat at the four top anyway, so we thought that was pretty rude. It took multiple requests about the music but the staff finally turned it down enough so we could converse. They may not have been able to hear it in the garden, but I don't think they could hear it the way we could inside anyway. We shared the guacamole, which was kind of a small portion, especially given the massive size of the basket of chips. The guacamole was okay but had sort of an odd acidic aftertaste. I had the fish tacos (there was some confusion about how many to order because the menu said a minimum of four but the waiter said no) and my friend had fish tacos and the carne asada tacos. Mine were pretty bland (whatever was accompanying the cod didn't have any flavour). My friend found citrus pits in one of her tacos. So all in all pretty much a miss and I don't see either of us going back.
