However, I found the $29 price tag for a Caesar salad with vegan meatballs and a matcha latte to be a bit steep. The salad came with 3 meatballs, which I suspect may have been raw. The majority of the salad was comprised of a small amount of kale and spinach, similar to what you can find pre-packaged for $3. There was also a small but tasty dressing and croutons on the side. The "fit tomatoes" turned out to be just 2-3 cherry tomatoes that were cut in half, along with a few capers. The matcha latte was good, but overall, I felt that the quality did not match the high price point.
I spent $23 on a small piece of avocado toast the size of my palm and a shallow superfood oatmeal with only four banana slices. When I complained to the manager, she shrugged and said she couldn't do anything. I even asked for my $3 tip back and was met with laughter. I came here for breakfast but left hungry. I found a better and cheaper meal at a deli nearby. I will not be returning.
I went back to Dr. Smood on Saturday and had the best coffee with fresh homemade almond milk. The Calvin Biggs sandwich was amazing - wish there was a 6th star to give it. I've been to many cafes, but the coffee and vegan sandwich on Saturday were truly exceptional.
The type in the theke was so high. I'm asking for a sandwich and a latte. he misses the laugh so I'm just paying for the sandwich. I waited like 20 minutes and the type asks me again “What are we waiting for? oh, the sandwich right” I was like? sandwich was good, but not worth $14 tax-definitly not going again. first impression.
I had a kale salad with spinach and cherry tomatoes in it. I had a cashew salad dressing but it was salty. The salad was good. I also had walnut meatballs, I didn't like it and didn't eat it. I had a once in a great while coffee, Annericano, it was good.
