Famous Famiglia Pizzeria - New York

I'm disappointed to share that I ordered a pizza tonight, and it arrived looking like they had taken an existing cheesecake, flattened it, and warmed it up. It was dry and awful. They did call me back and sent a new one, which I could tell was made fresh. However, the pizza remains subpar. The cheese was gummy, and the ingredients felt cheap. I hadn't ordered from this place in a long time, so I thought I'd give it another shot (despite my better judgment). I won't be doing that again. It was just as bad as I remembered. It's truly unfortunate because, in the past, their pizza used to be good—at least decent. I want to love this place because of my memories with them, but I can't bring myself to order from them again.

I had a really disappointing experience tonight. I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza late this evening, and it seemed like they just took a pre-existing cheese pizza, added some pepperoni, and reheated it. The pizza was burnt and very tough. It definitely lacked freshness! The garlic knots were also burned. I'm quite let down. Thankfully, there are other pizza places to try.

I grabbed a slice of pizza here to go while walking to my final destination. The pepperoni was good and the crust was not too dry. With its convenient location, I'd definitely stop here again if I am in the area. They do have more options than just pizza that I'll need to try next time.

The franchise has declined in quality, and some of the staff have been disrespectful on most of my visits. Aside from their service issues, the sandwiches are below average. For example, the chicken parm consists of what seems like a low-quality piece of chicken or something akin to chicken nuggets. The components—sauce, mozzarella, and bread—are also lacking. I would give them a rating of C, C, B-. They used to be competitive years and even decades ago, but it seems they've become complacent, relying solely on their brand name instead of maintaining quality. They need to better train their employees to avoid making disrespectful comments about customers in Spanish, especially since many Spanish speakers are aware of other cultures, including Asian and Black communities. I can't speak for other locations in Manhattan, but I won't return unless they improve their attitude and the quality of their food. Good luck.

The pizza I had was very good. Based on the pictures on the wall, this place gets visited by politicians (Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, etc). and presidential candidates very often. The bathroom was broken when we were there.
