A meal comes with coffee or tea and there is a slight upcharge for iced coffee. They have Splenda or sugar for sweeteners and offer milk or Land O Lakes Half and Half for creamers. This is a tiny luncheoette and I'm not sure what the seating capacity is. I arrived around 8:45 AM and just missed the crowds waiting outside. There is no way a wheelchair can access this restaurant and if partially mobile there really isn't anywhere to keep a wheelchair or wheeled walker on the floor while you dine. There is one table for two where the two counters meet and perhaps a wheeled walker could fit there. So long as you have partial mobility you can walk through the edges of the counter seats. I didn't go to the bathroom as it seemed like a tight zig zag to the kitchen and my hotel happened to be in walking distance. Very friendly and fast service. Credit cards need a 10.00 USD minimum but there is an ATM machine outside. With my add on orders my meal went over 10.00 but even with tip was well under 20.00 USD. You pay at the register where they have your meal tickets for check out.Kid-friendliness: You can't really fit someone in a stroller here. it's a small space to absorb noise. But a well behaved child or youth can sit on the stools. Pancakes and French Toast are on the menu as well as other options.
Such a cute diner. Apparently it’s been here for more than 30 years!I had kingkong and it was a lot of food but really good. My son had pancakes and they were so good, too.Food: 5/5
Johny's is a find and prob the best place in the area for breakfast or lunch (unfortunately not open for dinner). The food here is always on point with the best breakfast in the city and reasonably priced too. It can get a little hectic in there and sometimes long lines on the weekend, but totally worth it. Pancakes, eggs, burgers, all delicious.
Johny’s is a classic NYC breakfast place. Great pancakes, omelettes and breakfast combinations. A true American experience. The service is fast direct and straight to the point. You’re in NYC, what do you expect. A little bit of attitude and good food is what you get. Being it’s a small busy place and the queue outside can get lengthy it’s best to eat and give up your seat when finished, only to be courteous to the people outside waiting. We will be back. NOTE: come between 1:00-2:00pm. There’s less of a wait.
So yum! Johnnys had the fluffiest pancakes and great service from Josh. Even with the rain storming down, a group of us waited outside to be seated. There’s a 4 top, 2 top and counter but that’s it for seating so expect a wait on the weekends. And enjoy!Food: 5/5
