La Grenouille - New York

The ambience and the food were great. However, we came to the first seat menu in time. The waiter gave us the expensive Prix Fixe menu after we asked for the Vorseating menu. We thought that was fraud. I would recommend only this restaurant to Uber rich people

Familiar as I was from the old days with the unique ambience of La Grenouille's original ground floor, I felt a little hesitant when we were led up. I was worried we were relieved and relegated. I can only say that the design, decoration and ambience on the second and third floors is even better than the original space and everything you could hope for. The warm wooden cladding, the fire glows in the hearty, subdued music played by an elegant pianist, fabulous floral displays visibly in any direction, and a suave French captain smoothly guide the procedure in the midst of our wide tables – all supplemented as ideal a dining area as you could enchant. Of course, the centre of symphony was the classic Haute cuisine, which in every way to the standard of culinary excellence, La Grenouille always lived for and lived up to the bravura accompaniment of the exquisite surroundings. For us it was a culinary experience for the ages, whose memory will continue to come to our attention.

Excellent food, excellent service! Eat here! It's such a great experience!

Nice meal but way overpriced. Service was adequate but not commensurate with the cost. Probably will not return
