Maramana - New York

Beautiful place oriented early, but later becomes loud on a Friday evening.

On the upside, if you enjoy loud music with your meal, this is the spot for you. The service can be hit or miss; this time it was good, but previously it was terrible. Also, if you make a reservation through OpenTable, the host may not be familiar with the details, so be prepared for that. When this restaurant first opened, the service was exceptional, but now it seems inconsistent. Due to some past experiences that we've found less than satisfactory, we’ve decided not to dine in again. However, we will definitely continue to order takeout or delivery. Personally, I'm disappointed by these changes since I used to love this place, but I’m hopeful that it might still suit others better.

The service was terrible. I waited an hour for my food, and when I ordered a stuffed salad, they gave me mayonnaise as the dressing and insisted that it was a dressing. Absolutely unacceptable!

I came back to maramana after the reopening. the eating was excellent as usual, but unfortunately the service has a big hit. Although the server were nice, their service was not good, it seemed mostly out of ignorance, they did not know what they did. I miss the old server. Unfortunately, I thought twice about eating there. I'll go back, as often as not. eating is still fantastic.

I've visited this restaurant several times, and the food is outstanding. It's one of the best places in Inwood. I tried the grouper, which was a special, and I really hope to have it again soon. Be sure to order the mofongitos, and their sangria is fantastic as well.
