Ray's Famous Original Pizza - New York

This was just OK for me. It’s at a very convenient location, however the food is subpar. I got two slices of pepperoni pizza, a classic option any pizza place should be able to nail. I won’t pretend to be a pizza expert, but it lacked a bit of flavor and it was too crispy. I would skip this place and go to one of the other zillion pizza places in NYC. This place might be “famous” and “original” (possibly baseless claims, but I don’t want to spew conspiracy theories) but maybe an Unknown Copycat Ray’s pizza would be a better bet. Not to be too nitpicky but I ordered two slices and they were DRASTICALLY different sizes. I’m really not picky, but it was a noteworthy difference. The seating area inside was a welcome luxury and I went off-peak (11 am) and easily found a place to sit. If you’re hellbent on spending a little too much money on Famous Original pizza, go for it, but if you want something tasty, you should skip it.

This was our first time in NYC and have heard that pizza in New York was the best you can get, Ray's did not disappoint it was the best slice that I have ever had. We had the Buffalo chicken slice, the crust had a nice crunch to it, the flavour was so good. It was a big slice with big chunks of chicken. I recommend that if you are cruising time square check out Ray's Pizza. The staff are also great, super friendly.

The pizza was good , but the true delight is the most beautiful man I’ve seen in NYC serving it up .
