Rocco Pizza - New York

My Pizza was lukewarm warm and not fresh just heated up!

As a loyal customer since they first opened their doors (anyone remember the arcade game 1942? , Rocco's was always 5-stars. Since Frank sold the business, the recipes seem to be similar, but the atmosphere and service has slipped. And Frank would never allow three TVs showing Fox News while PSU is playing Michigan!! Seriously...

I've been a long time customer (15-20 years) and have always enjoyed the food. But the past few times it seems the quality has been less than what I've had in the past. My most recent order was a chicken parm sandwich. Total disappointment. Only one size to choose from (I'd estimate it was a 10 roll) and the chicken? It was breaded chicken fingers that had obviously been precooked and then microwaved. This made the chicken overcooked and chewy. Not to mention the chicken had no seasoning. Then topped with sauce and mozzarella cheese. The roll was stale and it seems they thought heating it in the oven would cover the staleness. All for a cost of over $14. No pics on this one- I tossed it in the trash.

Rocco's has long been our favorite local restaurant, primarily for their pizza, sandwiches and Stromboli options. Food quality quantity have always been very consistent and with excellent ingredients. They have a multitude of signature pizza options and their taco pizza is a family favorite for us. Get there soon !!

I used to love this place...the owner/person behind the counter (Jeannie) greeted you by name and they had the best pizza! Now under new ownership, on several weekday lunch occasions I got the impression I was bothering the counter staff while they played on their smart phones. And the pizza...while the taco pizza is still good, other slices are much skimpier. Life is too short for skimpy pizza.
