Even though I miss The Piper's Kilt terribly, I'm forced to admit that they did a great job renovating this space. The large windows and outdoor space are a great change. Food, booze, and beer choices are pretty solid, though of love to see some craft beer. The fried chicken sandwich is consistently great and I'll never complain about tater tots. The only thing I don't think that they addressed well in the renovations is the bathrooms. Still the somewhat unpleasant closets of days gone by. Can't knock a star for it, though.

This is our favorite spot in the neighborhood! We moved here from Harlem in 2020, and this Irish bar really made a difference for us during COVID restrictions, providing a place to enjoy a drink. It’s a welcoming local pub where the drinks are always great, and the food is both fantastic and consistent. We absolutely love it!

I haven't tried the food yet, but I was impressed that this place stays open late in the middle of the week. That's what makes NYC special—having options at all hours. Sadly, post-pandemic, that isn’t always the case. However, this neighborhood gem continues to uphold that tradition. Overall, the service and atmosphere have a nostalgic charm, which is one of the reasons this establishment remains a beloved staple in the community. Contrary to what some might expect, the crowd here was mature and sophisticated, and the service exceeded my expectations. A big shoutout to the bartender she expertly took care of all of us. She truly cares about her customers and made us, as newcomers, feel welcomed and at ease. Never let go of Wednesday night bartender; she's an invaluable asset to the team!
