Giovanni Pizza Pasta Grill - Newark

The eggplant rollatini was disappointing. The pizza was decent, but overall the food was average. Considering the high prices, the quality should be much better compared to other pricey restaurants. The staff answering the phones are often unprepared to take orders or answer questions about the menu. As someone with over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry, I know that it's not difficult to have a pen and notepad ready to write down orders. The phone staff should also be knowledgeable about the menu items instead of having to constantly check with the kitchen. If the chef is unable to accommodate simple requests like adding vegetables as a side dish, it may be time to consider hiring a new chef. Pull it together, Giovanni!

The management at this restaurant is awful. They were incredibly rude and refused to provide the correct order that was paid for. I had ordered six garlic knots, but was only given one and told they were out of stock. The older bald-headed staff member who served me was rude and unprofessional, and should not be working there.

Be careful and always inquire about your bill details at this restaurant. When I asked for a breakdown of my charges, I discovered they had overcharged me and their response was rude.

My wife surprised me after a long working day with pizza. but not from our usual place. I was still excited. but there's everything over and downhill. I'm from nyc. I'm a pizza snob. pizza should never be really bad. especially in this area. so good, the pizza of giovanni. I would compare it with the $1 pizza spots in the city. Cheese is cheap and oily. sauce is bland with zero tang. brot was understated and chew. I mean, it wasn't the worst thing I had in this area, so cuddos for her. this honor belongs to roberts pizza. but if they don't improve their pizza. they can easily join roberts.

Hands-down one of the best pizzerias I’ve ever ordered from. Let me tell you, their wings, phenomenal. Their pizzas? Mouthwatering. Now let’s not forget their pastas.. many people think oh you’re really going to order pasta from a pizzeria? Only from this pizzeria because I always order there Penne Ala vodka with chicken. The chicken is grilled to perfection, The sauce is amazing as well as the pasta itself I give it a 10 out of 10!! The prices are really good and this place is really one of the best pizzerias I’ve ordered from in Newark.
