The food at this restaurant was not good. There were limited options for vegetarians, so I ordered a salad without chicken. However, I received a small dish of mostly lettuce with a few cranberries, sunflower seeds, and only 4 small pieces of feta cheese. They did reduce the price by 25% for omitting the chicken, but it was still way overpriced at $14.00. My friend's side salad was larger and cost $15.00 for both of her meals. She also did not enjoy her turkey wrap and ended up removing all the turkey. The coffee was good and the service was fine, but they could definitely improve the quality of their food and not overcharge for a simple salad.
Last night, after a big winter storm, no one felt like cooking dinner so we decided to try out the Stagecoach restaurant in Newboro. We were greeted warmly and the atmosphere was cozy with a touch of elegance. We all started with the Caesar salad, which had a modern twist with grilled romaine, shaved Parmesan, and a light dressing with a refreshing lemon wedge. It was delicious. For my main course, I had the perfectly cooked rib with potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding, a comforting meal for a cold night. My partner enjoyed the flavorful Mulligatawny soup, while her mother chose the grouper from the fish specials menu and also loved it. Thank you to the manager and our hostess for a wonderful meal and a lovely evening, we will definitely be returning.
Heard, there was a new cook and thought we would give him another try. That wasn't so good. Lower boiled fish and moderate lobster ravioli. The seafood plate was not impressed. This is such a beautiful building, p-Lenty of the country charm it is a... ashamed the food offerings are so poor. Bringing a decent cook into the kitchen would do wonders to make it a choice.
Went here with friends after visiting Rideau Canal. Wasn’t very busy. There were 5 at the table. We looked at menu and remainder of party chose their food, my husband and I decided on the BLT but were told by waitress that there was no...bacon! As my husband doesn’t eat meat as in steak etc, a BLT was the only item on the menu he could eat. The waitress then said she would go and check if any bacon was left which seemed a bit odd to us, however she came back and took the order including our BLTs. The order eventually arrived, but chips were either over or under cooked. Disappointing for an up market restaurant which wasn’t busy. It was also quite expensive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very quiet while we were there. No5 sur3 if we would go back there agsin
