Premier Inn Newbury Town Centre South (a339)

Had a lovely stay here on our way home from Wales. All staff were friendly, approachable and kind. Ample parking first off, really lovely airy hotel, reception area has lots of space. Thyme restaurant, not going to lie, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the nice food. Breakfast was really lovely, scrambled eggs and mushrooms were so so good! Lots of different availability and good coffee. The air con wasn't working properly in our room, so was a bit warm for me, however the room itself was huge and very spacious for the 3 of us. On the way out my son won the eggs in a jar competition, so that was the cherry on the cake. Tl;Dr Lovely, spacious, modern hotel Ample parking Helpful, friendly staff Delicious food

Outstanding! We were welcomed upon early arrival by Michelle and Paula. Paid the extra £10 so we could get to our room and freshen up before driving out to Stonehenge. The large room is practically new. Beds comfortable, bathroom is large. Everything worked properly with no issues experienced. This is a quiet setting close to Town Centre but closer to supermarkets and restaurants. We will stay here again. The in-house Thyme restaurant is excellent. We’ve eaten breakfast daily and dinner one night and all food is superb. Highly recommended.

Decent location and really quiet despite the short distance to main roads. Room was very generously sized and food was tasty and served quickly by friendly staff

Rooms clean but quite basic. Minimum tea/coffee provided in room, no biscuits. Card indicating breakfast times etc. but no menus for on site restaurant and no literature about nearby attractions or places to visit. Dislike not being able to open window for fresh air. Breakfast service was variable, some good staff, some grumpy about providing poached eggs! Nice towels/ bedding and bed was very comfortable.

Nice place, near a tesco and retail park, not the best location for a walk into the town center although it can be done, just takes about 30 minutes. A lot of the walk was down a quiet enclosed path, I wouldn't have walked it alone. Breakfast was nice too
