Hands down the best and friendliest place to grab a snack, meal and more. The breakfast biscuits are second to none and the selection is of honey, jams and jellies is great. They have non ethanol fuel which is a plus and the staff are always happy to see you. I can't speak highly enough of this location. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself. Thank You for such a great experience!
This place is excellent. You almost skip it as a visitor to the area because gas station, eh. But give it a shot. We had burgers for lunch one day (the fried okra was so good! . Mine was a cheeseburger with chili, slaw, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Mmm. Then stopped for breakfast on the way out of town on a Monday morning. Sausage egg and cheese biscuit with hash browns was very good, and others in our party got biscuits and gravy, omelettes, and eggs and toast. All perfect. The biscuits could not be better!
This place somehow came highly recommended Needs, but I was severely disappointed. Needs a health inspector to come instruct employees on basic sanitation. Person taking orders immediately went from writing my order down with a pen to handling a biscuit by hand without gloves; was also handed a biscuit by hand with no gloves after they forgot to include it with the order. I should have walked out and I'm always sorry to leave a bad review but it was just atrocious. Food wasn't anything to brag about, and if I hadn't taken pepto I don't know what would have happened. Also the general atmosphere was crass and crude. Fine (I guess) for a construction lunch hour to-go but I'd recommend raising their standards a bit for the tourists and locals passing through.
Don't let the name fool you. They don't sell bbq. The only thing on the menu was Hunt's Pizza which can be purchased at any other convenience store in NC. Pizza was fine, but they may want to consider a name change ;
