Chez Talal - Newmarket

The babaghanouj smelled like it was rotten and embarrassed me in front of my guests as I threw a party for many people. The beef was loaded with pieces of fat. The worst of all was the attitude of the lady “manager” who was pretty rude when I politely provided her with feedback (so that she could do better for future customers). Never going back!

These Women are friendly but the food is terrible. The Baba ganouj was unidentifiable, a white sauce, who knows. The falafels are dry and hard. Egglant, I have no idea. No spices, no flavor. DON'T waste your money. Our second time here, but NEVER again.

Had a solid caving for middle eastern food and this hit the spot. It came highly recommended by our neighbours, and we now recommend it too. We tried the chicken and the beef, and comboed one with rice and the other with potatoes. The meal option comes with a small salad, a very generous potion of humus, plus pita and a drink all for $13-14. There was enough for supper for each of us, as we opted to save room for a little side of baklava, which didn't disappoint. Thanks. Will be back.

Terrible! I went there because I had read some good reviews. I love Lebanese food. However, this was the worst Lebanese food I've ever had. Sorry, but it really is awful. The lamb had mostly nerve/connective tissue and very spicy. It was impossible to eat. Haft went in the garbage. Falafel was so dry that crumbled when open, and tasted like cardboard. It's in the garbage. Kebehs were soaked in oil, VERY small, half filled with meat. One was nearly hollow. Dolmades were also very small, skinny and super spicy. All portions very small for the price. I am so upset. What a waste!

My wife and I tried Chez Talal and were very glad that we did. The restaurant is clean and the owners very friendly. Covid-19 practices were in place and they checked our vaccination history for two doses. We liked that very much as some places don't bother. The menu has a good selection and the ingredients are fresh. We both had a Shawarma, (1x chicken and 1x beef). I can honestly say that they were huge and filled very well. I usually eat all of mine at other places but here I took almost half home. They were both very tasty. I asked for mine with everything on it including spicy sauce and it was perfect. My wife had hers without spice. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will go back again. The price is right. We recommend Chez Talal.
