Christies Of Newport

We decided on a last-minute overnight getaway with my daughter for some delicious dining, shopping, and a visit to the ocean during winter break. The Harborside Inn was just what we needed! It's conveniently located near everything, and the place was spotless. The service was friendly, and we enjoyed a fantastic afternoon tea complete with cookies. Plus, the breakfast was superb and included in our stay, offering a wonderful selection of options along with a beautiful view.

From the moment we made the phone call, Jane was an exceptional hostess. She managed to get us a reservation on short notice and graciously accommodated our changes to the stay. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, and we enjoyed the delightful bonus of having balconies with views of either the city or the ocean. The beds were comfortable, equipped with plenty of pillows, and hot water was readily available. My only minor issue was that the walls were a bit thin, which I attribute to the building's age. The continental breakfast provided by the Inn was impressively generous, and they even offered cookies in the afternoons. Jane was fantastic, as were all the other staff members we met; everyone was incredibly friendly. I would absolutely return to this hotel.

We were long time loyal 41 Degree North guests til our last visit in June 2019 where it was not the quality we had long come to expect. Not worth $900/night so decided to try Harborside Inn right next door for 1/2 that price. Rooms were large, clean, comfortable and breakfast was a bonus. We drove an over sized truck which is tough to park and the manager on duty worked it out with a non-conventional perfect solution. I forgot my sweater and was called within 30 minutes to let me know. WE WILL BE BACK!

We received outstanding service during our visit. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Since we visited in mid-April, which is the early season, the prices were very competitive! I will provide a more detailed review after we check out!

We paid $2367 for a 5 night stay for a room be hotel that wasn 't even as nice as a chain motel. no elevator, mediocre quality, mediocre breakfast. it is outrageously overpriced. The first day our room wasn 't cleaned nor towels changed. We were told that we hadn 't requested cleaning or towels-in a nearly $600 per night room! Total nonsense. The kid at the front desk knew nothing about Newport. I STRONGLY ADVISE TO SKIP THIS ONE. THERE ARE PLENTY MORE ROOMS AT BETTER PRICES. Don 't be fooled by the location .its a walkble city with a free trolly service to main attractions, plenty of hotels and b&bs and parking. We simply didn 't do our homework well
