Starbucks - Newport

What a great experience. The coffee etc was standard Starbucks issue. The staff was again nice, energetic and engaged what was different about this one is that they allow the homeless to sit to keep warm. It felt so nice that they care and are willing to manage the behavior of the homeless folks so everyone could remain comfortable. Just one step above the average. Human kindness can be witnessed at this location.

I ordered a strawberry açaí refresher and I was looking forward to it all weekend, but the WATERED IT DOWN so muchhh and I was so exicted for it but it tasted like sour mold. I hate this.

They have coffee drinks and snacks. If reading this review is a waste of your time, you can thank Google for abusing my Google Maps data and nagging me to comment on a Starbucks we stopped at on a recent stay in Newport (when we were too lazy to walk to a proper coffee shop). Starbucks coffee: meh. Google: bad.

At the end of the night after having my coffee at this Starbucks, I used the restroom before leaving. When I come out I was confronted by a young woman, who started yelling at me about the restroom being clearly unavailable. I told her I really needed to go to the bathroom and that I was an older woman that she should be respectful towards me and not be yelling at me and making an issue of me using the restroom. She ran ahead of me locked the door and held the door shut so I couldn't get out and proceeded to tell me that, even though I was an older person that I couldn't teach her anything and that it wasn't her problem if I needed to use the restroom. Mind you this woman appeared to be in charge of this store. After finally getting out of there, she proceeded to yell out the door like a crazy maniac. I should have reported this woman to the police because she locked me in the store and that's criminal.

Got some coffee and a latte. Cleaner inside that most Starbucks I've visited lately. I actually saw an employee wiping the counter down. They were pretty busy but didn't have to wait too long. A good stop if you need coffee.
