Too Sweet - Newport Beach

I had at least 20 Balboa bars over the years, and Too Sweet's Balboa Bar is BY FAR the best tasting, with the highest quality chocolate (both and richer than it near neighbors). The chocolate bath is twice as thick as anyone I tried. PERFECTIVE!!! Also the dark chocolate truffles should not be missed!

We went here while we were in Newport on family recommendation. We looked at the lines at the other Balboa bars and were so glad we came here! It was amazing. The chocolate is sooo much better than normal Balboa bars. You have chocolate ice cream as an option. You're very generous with blows. The chocolate does not crack and falls into a bite or two. You can get dark chocolate if you want. My whole family thought they were the best Balboa bars we had in this area for over 20 years! It is also beautiful, they have frozen yogurt for those who prefer it. Very recommended!

I have been visiting and now living on the island for over 55 years. As a kid the other two place for Bars and Bananas were the only choices. Too Sweet has by far the best chocolate dipped items. They use REAL chocolate the others do not. Too Sweet is also connected to Tutti Frutti for frozen yogurt. I send friends, relatives, and youth athletes to Too Sweet and everybody gives it complete Thumbs Up. Also show proof of Balboa Island residency for a special treat.

This is one of my favorite places to go because of the caramel apples. Anyone thinking, “hmmm I never really went for Carmel apples,” should think about dropping in to buy one here. They are so fresh and very tasty. Many have toppings over the Carmel, although the plain one is perfect too. My favorites are the Oreo, cheesecake, and the plain. They also have wonderful chocolates and candies.
