Mediterranean Grill - Newton

We were looking for traditional Greek food. we were disappointed that they have charged for brot, and that it was not pita brot.

Family-owned and operated primarily Armenian restaurant. Lamb kebab and lamb shank with pomegranate sauce were both fantastic. The roast potatoes were the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of dill but it can be left off most items. There is a charge for the homemade bread but worth it. We agreed the walnut baclava was marginally better than the pistachio but both were delicious. Service was impeccable. Downsides are not serious: bright lights do not flatter the small space which is nicely decorated. Wine list is limited and a little pricey, but what we had was a nice quality.

This is a small restaurant with very bright lighting. The food is fine, but nothing too special. And the prices are high for a place with no ambiance.

Middle Easter food with a Russian touch. Wonderful lamb, soups and fresh bread. Lovely family-owned restaurant
