Caffe di Crema - NEWTON

Slow service, mixed up orders, food is good but errors with ordering on more than one occasion. Prime location so have been here a few times with family. It has the potential to be great, however lacking in vibe, customer service and flair. Wouldn't suggest for younger demographic either.

Tucked away a bit in the Newton shopping precinct, this cafe has been delivering on good coffee and fresh cafe food for a number of years.The team are happy & helpful, and even when it's really busy you get an acknowledgment and the wait is never too long. Indoor & outdoor seating, it's a great spot to relax and recharge when spending a working day on the road.

We first discovered this café some five years ago. It is a little out of sight, but handy to some busy retail. It probably suffers from the competition of a nearby bakery which is prominently in view, modern, has a good range of cakes and smells delicious! By contrast, the decor here is rather dated, and there is only one other customer when we visit. Nonetheless, it is a good experience. The girls are friendly and helpful. The cake range includes some tasty choices not always found, and our order is nicely presented to our table. The tea and coffee are exactly to order. The old style tables are sparkling clean, and there is no intrusive music. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of car parking, and wheelchair access. With an inexpensive make-over, I think this café could do really well. (Perhaps it already does!!)

I like the Brooklin Pub and it is a nice go-to for anyone in the area.
