Isaac Newton's Bar Restaurant - Newtown

This restaurant is quite average. I ordered a margarita that was served in a tall glass, if you know what I mean. I also tried the vegetarian nachos, but I was disappointed. While I appreciate that they offer a vegetarian option, it felt like something you could get from the grocery store. The chips tasted like Tostitos, and the salsa was lackluster. It’s frustrating when a restaurant charges a decent amount for food that doesn’t meet expectations. I understand that it’s bar food and not meant to be gourmet, but it's still a restaurant that should strive for better quality. If my meal looks like it came from a store, how can they take pride in serving it? On the bright side, my husband had a chicken sandwich that he thought was okay, although he felt it was overly fried. Overall, it was just average.

Delicious burgers! The portion sizes were quite generous, leaving most of us unable to finish our meals. Additionally, the "dead poutine" was surprisingly tasty.

We expected a casual dining experience based on the rave online reviews, and we were not disappointed. Everything was freshly prepared, and the service was friendly and prompt. The prices are reasonable, and there is plenty of free parking available around the restaurant. It's conveniently located near major Philadelphia attractions like Grounds for Sculpture and Sesame Place.

Great experience everywhere. Our waitress Elaina was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations. We even let them surprise us with their favorite Dessert Pick and it was to die. We had boneless wings with dry Rub AND buffalo sauce. You? re dark meat wings, definitely different and good. The Tots poutine appetizer was brilliant next to her scalloped potato special soup. For Entrees we tried the Korean Bao Beunge Special and the shrimps and grits. Both amazing. The dessert we chose for us was the chocolate cheese cake and it is MASSIVE and so good. We broke up with three. The atmosphere was relaxed and updated. The service was timely and had efficient server assistants who were ready for us when we finished things. Very recommended!

Great atmosphere, lunch time. Hand carved turkey was spot on. The burgers are delicious and cooked to perfection.. Great IPAs. A most visit if you are in lovely newtown.
