Írjon visszajelzéstMy friend and I decided to take advantage of our unexpected break between classes by treating ourselves to açai bowls on this hot ass day. Unlike the weather, the food was terrific and for $12.50, the portions were generous and they really packed it with fruit!
Most cafes in Newtown are packed on Friday and the weekends; though it was a bit of a wait. I'm glad I chilled at Milk Bar. I definitely loved the dim intimate setting, it's also spacious. Service was polite prompt. Their coffees and frosted chai frappes are made to perfection and definitely addictive.
We came here becauae Mary's had a long queue. I was surprised because the menu is so cheap!!! We got the Prawn Linguine $20), Mushroom Risotto $16), Vegie Quinoa Burger $14), Cola BBQ Ribs $25) and Share Plate for 2. Portion was massive. There were at least 6 huge prawns in the pasta. The ribs were juicy and tender. We didn't like the quinoa burger so much as it was plain and dry. The share plate was ordinary, wouldn't recommend ordering it.
Really liked it!. Had a really nice Mars bar hot chocolate and fig brandy cheese cake. The hot caramel drink was a bit hit and miss. The waitress was lovely <br/ <br/ The reviews here are almost comical in how bad they are. One even says the manager punched him in the chest?! Did I go to the same place?? I think give it a go and maybe you'll like it like I did
The cake was decent. The crust was very thick and hard, which made it difficult to cut without it falling apart. Fortunately, the noise in the restaurant helped mask the sound of clinking and clanking as I used a spoon to cut through it.
