Boccaccio - Nice

This a restaurant with extremely high racial discrimination!!! On June 29, 2023, my friends and I dined at Boccaccio in Nice and had a severely disappointing experience. We were served a foul-smelling crab, indicating it wasn 't fresh. When we alerted staff, they swiftly removed the crab, potentially to eliminate evidence. They replaced the crab without consulting us, using a disdainful tone, saying “ of course no charge” and offering no apology and explanation at all. When we expressed health concerns, the response was dismissive and offensive. The staff spoke with a tone that can be characterized as discriminatory and provocative, repeatedly said with a tone of contempt you want more? insinuating we were greedily trying to exploit the situation. The manager refused to admit the crab was un-fresh and only offering a 25€ discount. This incident marred our dining experience and raises serious food safety concerns. As foreign tourists, we felt insulted and discriminated against. We believe an apology and compensation from Boccaccio is necessary.

Exceptionally nice fish restaurant. well above average. Prices on the high side (sole meuniere 52 Euros), but we had the set lunch menu at 29 Euros pp. Starter very tasty spring roll type dish on a bed of pureed peas. Main course beautiful salmon steak on a bed of lentils, chopped sweet corn, peppers and other things. Dessert peach melba with mascarpone and some ice cream. Included a glass of wine. Given the class of the restaurant, which was high, and the prices on their à la carte menu, the meal was exceptional value and superb quality. The service matched, and the ambience and overall experience were great. I would thoroughly recommend a visit either for a special occasion in the evening, or definitely for lunch.

We really wanted to like this restaurant. The food smelled amazing and the atmosphere was nice. However, our paella was burned and bland. We really didn’t want to complain but we just couldn’t enjoy it. At the end our meal, someone finally came and asked it we wanted to take the leftovers home. We then explained the situation (we didn’t mention that the dish was bland, only that it was burned). One of the staff members agreed that the dish was burned because she could the smell the char and mentioned that we should have said something earlier, but our waiter NEVER came to check on us. She was kind enough to see if the manager would do something about the situation. However, the manager REFUSED to come to our table to apologize or address the issue. We weren’t looking to avoid paying; we were extremely disappointed that the manager of this establishment REFUSED to address his customers.

Excellent, refined, warm. A perfect service A beautiful interior room. Prices related to the content of your plate. A paella like we eat in the region of Valencia. All right and fine.

Very beautiful property in Nice located on 2 levels, the floor is comfortable and class Meals and quality service A great plus for the Alexandro server with little care, decree and adorable I strongly recommend this facility
