Írjon visszajelzéstFantastic small Italian located in the Altstad of Düsseldorf. Fantastic pasta and some great wines....
Went with a group of people. The waitress serving us was extremely rude and lacked basic manners. As soon as she found out we were not locals she began to recommend everything that was most expensive on the menu! When it came to the...food there was about an hours wait between starters and main course! By this time some of our party was ready to leave! When the food arrived one person's meal had been completely forgotten about and when it came appeared to have been microwaved and put together in a hurry. Lastly while paying the same waitress decided it was ok for her to push paying customers out of her way so that she can get extra napkins for setting the table! Sadly this was a complete disappointment due to service.
I always make sure I reserve before I get to Duesseldorf to make sure I'll have a wonderful experience at my favorite Italian restaurant. The staff is perfect, welcoming and remembering. Everything I've had in the dozen times I've been here was a great memory....From antipasta through pasta and meats, highest quality sweets and wines. It's perhaps something one might not want to share but success is all I can wish for this perfection.
Having told a business associate that I would be passing through Duesseldorf, he told me that I had, to visit A Tavola for the carbonara Checking it out first on TA, I saw mixed bag of reviews, with most positive on the food but often...negative on the service. There were higher-rated options for me but I chose to go anyway. Well...let me tell you...they must have done competitors writing these negative reviews to undercut them - because I couldn't have been more pleased with the food, wine, or service. I am not what you might refer to as an easy customer, either. I was met at the door by lovely hostess who indicated they would find a spot for me in the crowded dining area. Handed of to the manager I was seated at a long family style table with other guests. Everyone seemed to be quite happy and enjoying their time on this busy Friday evening. So, to the point...I started with the tomato and burratta salad (delicious), then the carbonara (truly marvelous...ask for it if you don't see it on the menu), along with moderately-priced bottle of a really nice Amarone. Could not have been better. Taste, portions, service...all A+. And, to set the record straight...a wonderful team who work in excellent collaboration to take care of customers.
Was fortunate to be taken here for a business dinner. Had the tuna steak which was lovely, tasted the steak as well which was also lovely. Was packed on a Wednesday evening which shows how popular it is. Would recommend
