We then sat down for a very long time without a drink being offered or a menu in sight, after chasing these several times we had...a cocktail, very nice and of good quality. An extra hour passes before they want to take out order, and well over an hour (pushing 2) after this before we have our food. There we quite a few of us, but for the food to come out over a 30 minute period wasn't good enough, the service in general was poor, their attitude shocking. Once I had the food I did enjoy it, I had the house wrap and it was tasty and plenty of it,shame I already had a bitter taste in the mouth from the previous 3 hours. People who had pizzas, steaks and wrap tended to enjoy their food. The platters were not thought out and this was the last thing to be put on the table after 30 mins, meaning the pizza people had the choice of waiting for others, meaning a cold pizza...or eating straight away, meaning their meal had been eaten before others had started. Saying that I had a really nice evening, but this was in spite of the place, not because it added anything at all. Bill came to about 45 euro each, was it worth it?No. Would I go back? No.Did we leave a tip? For the first time in many many years, not a chance.
We hosted a big group +150 at this location. Beautiful old factory with good parking. Staff was really good. Good dj and good food. We had small food items burgers pizza and more and good quality. Really enjoyed ourselves!
The athmosfere is really cozy, but you can go also with friends. Meat cooked by you. Wine is good, sad by me,italian ; . I appreciate it a lot.
Dr. Thompsons is yet another of those establishments which take all the appropriate steps ensuring that everthing and everybody looks the part but totally forgets to train the staff suffiently. Yes the staff all look cool with their tattoos, piercings and tailored beards but I...don't particularly enjoy waiting for the winelist to arrive when my starter is already on the table. For our main dish we ordered the seafood platter which should have come with lobster, prawns, coquilles St Jacques and Octopus. What the waitstaff failed to do was inform us that Lobster was not available but instead brought the dish to the able only to tell us then. To compensate the lack of Lobster the chef added more of the other items. Full marks for effort but epic fail on customer service. Anyway, dinner Dr. Thompsons could have been really good but the evening was spoilt by badly trained staff which at the prices they charge is quite unacceptable.
