This traditional schumacher brauerei pub is located on the “Bar Street” in düsseldorf’s old town (old town,) near the sign castle tower from the century. düsseldorf is divided by the Rhine, with its old town on the eastern and commercial... areas in the west. we visited shortly after midday when the place relatiw was empty. we sat outside in the crunchy weather and appreciated the classic decoration that seemed obsolete, but there was a certain feeling of history. we had a few glasses of schumacher old (beer,) despite the early hour, and I had the schweinshaxe (pork knuckle,) which was tender and juicy. my partner asked for a gulasch suppe that was not on the menu, but she was served. the menu was very typical of brewhouse kitchen – from sour wort and carving. with leverworst and classic sour roast. this is one of the most authentic brewery pubs in düsseldorf!
Historical and traditional restaurant with very good beer and traditional decor. more efficient and faster service.
There are many pubs, bars and restaurants along the wooden road and without a shadow of a doubt one of my favorite taverns along here is in the golden boiler. I love the look of this tavern, the interieur is ingenious, an excellent authentic appearance, beautiful flowing, wood irradiated. cover, great decor and furniture, including a cool servier bar and many sitting look. my twin brother stepped and I were here on a Saturday evening, this place was absolutely packed with a great atmosphere, a passing babe placed two schumacher altbier on our table and, as usual in this part of Germany, placed two pencils on our biermat to show how many we had drunk, we were simply cooled out and in the big ones we were in my old beer was exceptional, a rich, dark, malty beer, which burst with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style both I and my brother really enjoy. we really enjoyed our beers here and the great mood so much that we stayed together for another beer before we moved on and as with any other visit here we had a great time. in the golden boiler is easy to find along the wooden road, a road and opposite with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a great tourist destination. Opening times are: Monday to Thursday, until midnight. Friday Saturday, until midnight. a great tavern, good to check whether they are in the opposite.
A great evening in a fantastic typical german atmosphere. Friendly and playfull staff, we were really treated very well despite the extreme busy x mas market tourism. Great beers and simple, but surprisingly good tasting food and very fair prices. Recommended!
