Mj's Tavern - Norfolk

I came here with my friends and Boyfriend for pride. I was also here about 6 years ago for a fetish event, wonderful staff. The food is great but be patient! It's delicious! Food is worth the price and affordable, great portions. The openness and acceptance of all at this bar is what makes them stand out. Everyone here has been kind to others from what I've seen. Approximately 7 to 9 days ago my husband and I tried food from MJ?s Tavern in Norfolk Virginia. It was pleasant enough outside for us to eat our food which tasted appetizing and the foods/drink we selected included fried pickles tuna bites onion rings cheese steak and bread pudding and cherry coke (obviously we did have some leftovers). Our waiter was friendly and the food tasted better than I expected.

He was hoping for a fun experience. I went in and didn't know what to do. Tables full seats at the bar full. No one who worked here bothered talking to us or offering us something. We tried to find out what to do. We gave up and went somewhere else. Unfortunately we are back. Service: 1/5

Our first time here and WOW!! The food was delicious. Kat took care of us and she was incredibly helpful and informed us about the weekly specials and how MJ's returned to the community. Will definitely be a normal one.

I was surprised how good their food is! Really delicious! I have the sweet Chili wings and WOW I've been praying for days. Food: 5/5
