Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Norman

Ate at Dickey's BBQ for the first time this weekend and fell in love with the place. The food was excilent, and the service was great. Very friendly, and knowledgeable staff! My new favorite spot, and I will keep coming back for more!

My family & I just had Dickeys for the first time last weekend. We have lived in Norman going on 3 years now and we would always go to Vans pig stand for our BBQ needs. Not anymore. This place has GREAT food. My pickiest eater(6) who hates BBQ ate two plates full of everything we bought. In my experience, I haven't been able to find a place that had both good meats and good sides. Dickey's has great everything. We had 2 meats and 4 sides plus the rolls and everything we had was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful also. I would highly recommend this place! We will most definitely be returning customers. Thank you for the great experience.

Ate at Dickeys BBQ in Norman Saturday evening,, and I loved it.  Food was HOT, service was knowledgeable and friendly, and the appearance was neat and clean.

Decent BBQ Food. My verdict on this place is it's not bad really, but not even close to one of the best BBQ food I've ever had. I usually get the 1 meat plate or one of their Deal of the Day if it's on the day that has the sausage sandwich. I don't think I've tried their Spicy Cheddar Sausage but that's definitely on my list for the next time I go. The sides are generic and I usually end up with Green Beans w/ Bacon and Fried Okra. The green beans taste like they're from a can, but that doesn't really surprise me. Their fried okra is just as good as anywhere else's fried okra, so no complaints over there. The food is a little bit overpriced for what you get, but I don't mind if I come here just once in a while. The free ice cream cone does help justify coming here that often.

I'm not a huge BBQ fan, so this isn't so much about the food but the service.
