Jalsa - Norristown

The service was disappointing. The server seemed eager to help, but everything felt off. The dishes were completely underwhelming, and our food didn't arrive as we had expected. Given that we were the only ones in the restaurant, it was quite surprising. We had high hopes, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations.

We visited on a Saturday night and found the restaurant to be beautiful, although quite empty. We arrived early, and when we asked the waitress about drinks, she mentioned there were no bartenders available—quite amusing! We ended up working with our waiter, and the food was really fresh and delicious, with prices that seemed reasonable. I hope they succeed, as they are in a bit of an odd location, but it's definitely worth a visit.

The food is excellent and the portions are generous, but the service could be a bit faster.

That is a new Indian restaurant. eating is very well prepared. they have both vegetarian and meat dishes. the menu is very well rounded. they have a happy hour with half paid apps. we were expected to be happy. a very detailed person. I was not sure what to order, he did a very good job to describe the articles and make suggestions. everything he said was at the place about the food we ordered. we had an eggplant app that was very good. the lambs we ordered were large enough to share two. as fyi they have a cash, they will not go wrong

We went for Mothers day brunch, which was $30 per plate and the food was not good at all. The naan had become very hard and none of the appetizers were good. Only the Idli and Vada were good. The chicken tikka had no chicken in it and it was all sauce and the buffet had 12-14 items including appetizers. The chole bhatura was good but the bhatura was left in the container for so long that it had become hard. The main problem I had with it was that when you charge $30 a plate, the least we expect is good fresh food in buffet and atleast all the items should be filled out. One lady next to our table complained about chicken tandoor not being filled for 30 mins and then the server brought the chicken tikka but it had no spice or salt in it. Overall, it was not a good experience to have the mothers day lunch here. I would not visit here again for sure.
