Blackberry River Baking Co

We were searching for a new spot for breakfast, and I must admit that the Macarons—particularly the lemon peel flavor—convinced me that yesterday was the perfect day to try Blackberry River Baking Company. Our breakfast was fantastic; I had the red flannel hash and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was fresh and delicious. We also brought home some Macarons (the best I've ever had! The texture was perfect and the flavors were out of this world) along with a light and fluffy raspberry almond pastry. We will definitely be returning!

Last weekend, I visited Canaan for the first time and picked up some breakfast sandwiches and a few pastries to sample. Everything was delicious! Our favorites were sandwiches #8 and #10, with the tasty bacon jam on #10 really making it stand out. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in all the dishes. The raspberry cream cheese bear claw was our favorite pastry— it had an incredible fresh raspberry flavor! I can’t wait to return and try some of the other breakfast and lunch options!

This restaurant offers a locally inspired menu that is consistently creative and delicious. Their baked goods are exceptional. The dining area is beautifully decorated with a charming vintage bakery theme, and the service from the waitstaff is attentive. I highly recommend it for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Great sourdough bread. Excellent pies in the fall. Homemade English muffins a rare treat. Corned beef hash also top quality. Always a top notch breakfast at this homey spot.

Home cooked food! Fresh! Wonderful service! This is the best place to go for breakfast in town! Nothing is out of a box or bag. You can taste the natural, freshness of the food. The fresh made jams and jellies, breads...it is all wonderful!
