Jim 'n Nick 's -b-q - North Charleston

I'll start off by saying this was more like a strong 3.5 stars. I feel like it could easily be a 5 star place if a few things were different. It was our first time here, so I am not sure if things are normally faster than what they were tonight. That was my main issue. It took a really long time to get service and then follow ups. It wasn't very busy and it appeared they had enough servers for the job. I always weight in on the Mac and cheese, and it was alright. But I had the brisket mac and cheese, and it was really good together. It's something I would have again and certainly recommend. The place was pretty clean so I didn't see any issues there. It does look like they make their own BBQ sauce and it was pretty good, I probably should have grabbed a bottle. Now finally the beat part of the whole meal....the cheese biscuits. Those were delicious and unlike anything I have had before. Overall I'd recommend giving this place a try, the prices were reasonable.

I had heard good things about Jim ‘N Nick’s for years. I’ve always wanted to try it whenever we travel since we have none in Kentucky. I was very impressed with the service and environment. The restaurant was very clean! I was also pleased with the family accommodation, they welcomed a family of 4 with open arms and were very helpful navigating us a great place to sit with a stroller. Finally the wings were amazing. I was very impressed with the taste of the Buffalo sauce.

We had dinner at Jim N Nick Bar- B-Q. I had the catfish dinner with a loaded bake potato and corn. My husband had the brisket with french fries and fruit. All of our food came out nice and hot. Which was a plus. And the server was really great.

Wow! The ribs were great (not falling off the bone, but tender and the BBQ was crispy and sweet on the ends). The baked beans and potato salad were good. The cheddar biscuits, though.....OMG! One could certainly hurt themselves on those bad boys!! Service was very good. Staff was attentive and quick.

Typical bar/sports bar location plus BBQ. Food was fair but not exceptional so in my opinion it was more expensive than justified. The burger I ordered was smaller than a Wendy's burger and cost 3 times as much. The BBQ was pretty good though. We were seated in a large party that met for almost an hour. Drinks were never refilled the entire time we were there with the exception of those drinking beer. I was there for work related function, but even though this was not a terrible experience I wouldn't return on my own. Theres better options available with better service and more reasonable prices.
