The Stags Head Inn - North Devon

We came for a meal and didn't stay. There were six of us for Sunday lunch, they offer a traditional roast, with either beef, lamb or chicken, they also offer a nut roast which my wife said was delicious. I had a mixed meat roast. All the ingredients were really good quality and the food was cooked to perfection. Although, it was busy, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We only visited to eat, not stay. Food was excellent, the menu was interesting and good value. The only disappointment was being seated in the room furthest from the bar and nearest the kitchen. It meant the ambience was lacking. In addition, it was obvious that my sister has mobility issues as she had crutches,so taking us to a table furthest from the door was not helpful. There were plenty of empty tables elsewhere. Despite the above comment we would still visit the Stag Head Inn again. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
