The Crown - North Dorset

Friendly village pub and food was great and very welcoming start to our holidays . Our dog was very welcome by the owners and locals also using the pub. Great food

Went there for lunch today to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Met with friendliness from the barmaid Laurie. Found out what was gluten free for me on the menu. We both had a fabulous meal food was excellent and plenty of it didn't have to wait long either. Pub is clean comfortable and garden looked lovely but we opted to sit inside. Menu gave enough choices. Could not recommend more we will definitely be back.

This traditional pub in a picturesque village is perfect for enjoying drinks in the September sun. We had made a reservation for dinner, but unfortunately, many items on the limited menu were unavailable. The ribs and lamb shank were sold out, so we settled for the last Mediterranean tart and Katsu chicken (fried chicken strips with a thick sauce). It was basic pub fare, as we would say in England. After exploring Dorset and Hampshire for most of August and September, we were disappointed to find that The Crown fell short of our expectations.

The service was excellent, very welcoming. The pub had modern and lovely facilities. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning for a longer visit next time.

During our stay in the village, we had a delightful family dinner here on our first night. The staff was very friendly, and we appreciated that the restaurant was dog-friendly - they even gave our furry friend a little treat. I would highly recommend this place.
