The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed more focused on themselves than on providing a positive experience for customers. For example, when a woman brought our food, she just stood there and stared at us until we realized she was waiting to hand it over. It's really not difficult to say something like, "Hi, here’s your food! Can I get you anything else?" If interacting with people is daunting, perhaps another job would be a better fit.

I absolutely enjoy visiting Groundwork Coffee! The service is outstanding, with friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The coffee is fantastic. What truly makes this location special is its ambiance. It’s a hidden gem, and the interior design honors the building’s history, featuring rustic touches and tasteful decor that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for getting work done.

I think that good customer service is crucial in any establishment and is a major factor in encouraging customers to return. I visited this restaurant for the first time on May 9th at 9 AM, and unfortunately, my experience was not positive. The cashier, who was wearing a yellow hat and a gray sweater, was quite rude, made judgmental faces, and was unhelpful when we asked questions or requested modifications to our order for our 1-year-old. Additionally, there were no high chairs available for our son. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for breakfast. We ordered a burrito, a sandwich, and avocado toast but ended up waiting over 30 minutes, despite there being only four other customers. I will not be coming back.

There were a lot of reviews mentioning the unsanitary bathroom, but I decided to overlook that and try it anyway. Well when I went they did not have a bathroom for customers *at all*. This shop is not small, they serve food, they are free standing, and have no arrangement with another business to share their toilets. So how is this okay?I cancelled my order and the employee looked confused. Well come on! Don’t you know what coffee does? What are all these people supposed to do when it hits, this is not a to-go place where everyone is picking it up in the run, people sit here for a while. Not to mention washing hands.If a shop this size doesn’t give access to a restroom, they need to shut down until they do. That’s gross. 0 stars.I went to Amp right up the street, which had coffee, pastries, and a very clean bathroom. I would recommend them, or Horror Vibes. Or any other self respecting coffee shop where you can be hygienic and not suffer a bellyache.
